PublicationsThe Institute publishes position papers, important speeches, proceedings of its colloquia, and reports based on studies commissioned by the Institute. These proceedings assist the scientific, private and public communities to identify opportunities and priorities for research and development, and formulate informed policies in support of vaccine development and use. Proceedings are available for the Institute's two major colloquium series: the Sabin Colloquium on Cancer Vaccines and Immunotherapy and the Annual Sabin Vaccine Colloquium at Cold Spring Harbor. The latter includes titles dealing with vaccine policy issues, such as Pandemic Influenza: Can We Develop a Global Vaccine Policy? and Vaccines for Developing Economies: Who Will Pay? Other occasional proceedings focus on topics such as chlamydia or rotavirus. The Sabin Gold Medal is presented each year to an outstanding vaccine scientist. The published acceptance speeches provide insights into the history and development of vaccines as well as their impact on public health. The Sabin Vaccine Report, the Institute's newsletter, features information about new developments in infectious diseases, vaccine sciences and policy, as well as news about the Institute. All publications are available upon request at no cost. View the complete publications list. |
