Mónica Berger Gonzàlez

Mónica Berger González is a sociocultural anthropologist from Guatemala with a PhD in Sciences from ETH Zürich. She heads the Unit of Medical Anthropology within the Center for Health Studies at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala and is an associate researcher of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel. Her research is focused on intercultural transdisciplinary processes to address plurimedical systems in inequity, ethnomedicine of Mesoamerican populations, public health policy and its impact on indigenous groups and One Health approaches, among others.
