Latin American Pertussis Workshop Meeting Report
From February 20-21, 2019, Sabin organized a Latin American Pertussis Workshop in partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Argentinean Ministry of Health in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This two-day workshop brought together 70 pertussis leaders, technical experts and key stakeholders from 17 countries to review and explore recent findings and new opportunities to better understand pertussis epidemiology and improve prevention and control strategies in the region. The workshop provided an opportunity for Latin American Pertussis Project (LAPP) partners to share lessons learned from the initiative and the impact of evidence generation on decision-making.
